Dear Odyssey of the Mind Coaches,
We’re excited to invite you and your team to the first-ever Project Spontaneous Day at Oklahoma State University on Saturday, November 7, 2026!
One of the hardest parts of preparing an Odyssey of the Mind team is finding enough opportunities to practice Spontaneous. Project Spontaneous is designed to give teams exactly that opportunity—a full day focused on practicing, experimenting, and building confidence without the pressure of competition.
Teams from across Oklahoma will come to OSU to work through at least five different Spontaneous problems in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Students will have opportunities to try different types of problems, practice working together under time constraints, and strengthen the creative problem-solving skills they’ll need throughout the Odyssey season.
Spontaneous Day
- Saturday, November 7, 2026
- Begins at 10:00 a.m.
- Oklahoma State University, Stillwater
- At least 5 Spontaneous problems for every team
- No registration fee
- Registration deadline: October 30
This isn’t a tournament, and there are no scores, rankings, or winners. The goal is simply to give students a chance topractice, take creative risks, learn from one another, and have fun solving problems together.
Whether your team is brand new to Odyssey of the Mind or already has years of experience, we’d love to have you join us.
Register your team by October 30 HERE!
Please feel free to share this invitation with other Odyssey coaches in your area. We hope to bring together teams from across the state and make Project Spontaneous an exciting start to the 2026–27 Odyssey season.
We look forward to seeing what your team comes up with!
